I indulged in delightful hikes and cycling nearby. The free WiFi worked like a dream, 43 km away from a Metro Station. Tried a bit of culture at Poperinge Hop Museum. Even treated myself to a massage. The full breakfast was to die for!
Oh, just a lack of spa treatments. How disappointing!

The hotel's decoration was simply delightful, with its charming vintage furniture and beautiful artwork. The general areas of the hotel were well-maintained and offered a cozy atmosphere for relaxation. As a senior woman, I appreciated the easy accessibility of the hotel, with convenient ramps and handrails in place to ensure a safe and comfortable stay.
I would have loved to see more activities specifically tailored for senior guests, such as organized day trips or gentle exercise classes. The children working there did their best, but a few more options for a better vacation for seniors would have been wonderful.

What a fantastic Christmas getaway! The homemade breakfast options were simply amazing - delicious pastries, yoghurt, and freshly squeezed juice. And the beautifully restored property was a joy to stay in - so clean and tastefully decorated. One major advantage was the close proximity to nearby towns and amenities, making it easy to venture out and explore different areas. But the best part was our amazing host, who was so friendly and provided helpful recommendations throughout our stay. It truly felt like a warm and inviting home away from home.
That the village itself didn't have many amenities, apart from a bakery. However, this was easily overcome by the fact that there were restaurants and shops just a short drive away.
